About David (who is not running)
Neighbor, council-meeting regular, and definitely-not-a-candidate.
For the record: David Watson is not running for City Council. He is not running for any office. This is a template website. If you’ve landed here expecting a campaign, there isn’t one — but the template works great, doesn’t it?

David Watson lives in Mountain View and genuinely loves it. He thinks it’s the kind of place that should have room for everyone, which is why you’ll catch him at council meetings, chatting with neighbors on the sidewalk, and emailing his actual elected officials about housing and bike lanes.
What he is not doing is running for City Council. Not this year, not next year. He’s the guy in the audience clapping for the candidates — not the one at the podium asking for your vote.
Why David built this instead
- He wanted a campaign site that’s easy to reuse. Three designs, a live color switcher, and a logo that recolors itself. Hand it to a real candidate and go.
- He likes good local government. So he supports the people willing to run for it — and gives them better tools.
- He is, once more, not running. This bullet point exists purely so there’s no confusion.
A little more
David is a real person with real opinions about Mountain View. Everything on this page is in the spirit of “here’s what the template looks like with words in it.” Swap in an actual candidate’s story and you’re most of the way to a launch.
